12 Channels won slots in DD Free Dish 75 e-Auction

Lifetime Free Direct to Home DTH operator “DD Free Dish” has completed its 2nd round and Prasar Bharati earned nearly Rs. 288 crore from the 13 slots sold in the last two days. The slots are being allotted for one year, from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025. According to the Exchange for Media (E4M) Reports, Bucket A+ which comprises GEC channels had six slots. They were secured by channels including Manoranjan TV, Manoranjan Grand, Masst, Dangal TV, Sun Neo, and The Q channel. The Bucket A+ witnessed the highest bid of Rs 21.25 crore from Manoranjan TV Group and the lowest was Rs 19.05 crore. The entire bucket with six slots was sold for over Rs 123 crore.  The reserve price for General Entertainment Channels (GEC) – Hindi or Urdu – in Bucket A+ was fixed at Rs 15 crore. 

Meanwhile, the pubcaster has earned Rs 171.5 crore from Bucket A, consisting of movie channels in Hindi/Urdu with six slots. The reserve price for Bucket A was priced at Rs 12 crore. The highest bid in the category was Rs 18.30 crore and the lowest was Rs 17.50 crore. The channels secured slots are Colors Cineplex Superhits, Colors Cineplex Bollywood, Zee Anmol Cinema, Star Utsav Movies, Star Gold Thrills, and Sony Wah. while on the side, Chumbak TV secured a slot for Rs 16.75 crore in Bucket B which comprises music, sports, all channels of Bhojpuri language and all other remaining genres of Hindi priced at Rs. 10 crore.
