Sony Liv Removed from Tata Play Binge Bundle Pack
The Direct to Home DTH operator Tata Play has dropped Sony Network’s OTT platform Sony LIV from its Tata Play Binge Bundle Packs. From December 1st, the streaming platform is not available for its subscribers as the renewed price would lead to a sharp increase in subscription prices.
Tata Play said that “Tata Play Binge has dropped Sony Liv because the increase in price asked by Sony at the time of their contract renewal would have led to a sharp price increase for the Binge customers. Hence we dropped the Sony Liv OTT from packs. Binge also has other 25+ popular OTT apps for your daily dose of entertainment.”
Currently, the Tata Play has partnered with 25 OTT+ apps such as Zee5, Disney +Hotstar, Netflix, Prime Video, Jio Cinem, Chaupal, Shemaroo Me, Eros Now, etc. Recently, it has on boarded Apple TV+, KLiKK, PlayFlix and Fuse+. This was one of the first collaborations for Apple TV+ in India.
