Sun Neo channel on DD Free Dish from 1st April 2024
Sun TV Network is ready to expand its footprint with the launch of its First Hindi General Entertainment channel “Sun Neo” in April 2024. Sun Network recently won the mpeg2 slot in Prasar Bharati’s Free to Air FTA DTH service “DD Free Dish” 75th e-Auction process. Sun TV channel is one of the most popular Tamil-language television channels in India. It is part of the Sun TV Network, a major media and entertainment conglomerate based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Sun TV was the first Tamil satellite channel to be launched in 1993 and has since become a significant player in the South Indian television industry.
The channel offers a variety of programs, including soap operas, reality shows, game shows, talk shows, and movies, catering to a diverse audience. Some of the well-known programs on Sun TV include serials like “Chithi,” “Kolangal,” and “Thirumathi Selvam,” as well as reality shows like “Super Singer” and “Adhu Idhu Edhu. Sun TV Network also operates several other channels in different languages, such as Sun Music (Tamil), Sun News (Tamil), K TV (Tamil), Gemini TV (Telugu), Udaya TV (Kannada), Surya TV (Malayalam), Sun Bangla, Sun Marathi, among others. It has significantly impacted the television industry in South India and continues to be a leading player in the regional entertainment space.
Sun Neo channel will be available on DD Free Dish with effect from the 1st of April 2024 onwards on Mpeg2 and Mpeg4 set-top boxes. while on the side Sun Neo and Sun Neo HD will also be available on Sun Direct, and Tata Play.
