Dish TV started adding d2h Channels
India’s popular DTH operator Dish TV has started shifting channels from Videocon d2h’s satellite ST2 to its own satellite SES8. This process will take 1 to 2 months and Dish TV will offer all South Indian channels from its own satellite. Currently, d2h was using a different satellite and Dish TV was using its own satellite, in which d2h was providing services for South Indian channels like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada language channels, while Hindi and all North East and West channels were available on Dish TV.
Dish TV will now use only one satellite, SES-8, to save money, as the ST2 used for Videocon d2h will expire in the next two to three years. All d2h customers will have their dish antenna signals converted to Dish TV’s satellite, for which the company will not charge any fees. If your d2h box is too old and unable to receive Dish TV’s satellite signal, it will be swapped for a new set-top box for free.
