Good news for DD Free Dish subscribers! After a brief pause in channel additions, Prasar Bharati has successfully concluded the 102nd online e-auction, bringing fresh entertainment and news to your screens.
Starting October 1st, three brand-new channels will officially begin broadcasting on the DD Free Dish platform. However, there is a technical catch—these channels are exclusive to a specific set-top box category.
Which 3 Channels Are Launching?
- ​PTC Simran: A highly requested 24×7 Punjabi devotional channel catering to religious and spiritual programming.
- TV7 Bharat: A brand-new Hindi news network offering national and Uttar Pradesh Region updates.
- News Leader: Another prominent news channel ensuring you stay updated with daily current affairs and debates.
Crucial Detail: These Channels Are Only for MPEG-4 Users
​It is important to note that Prasar Bharati allotted these new slots exclusively in the MPEG-4 bucket.
If you are using the older MPEG-2 standard definition (SD) box, these channels will not scan on your TV. To enjoy PTC Simran, TV7 Bharat, and News Leader, you must upgrade to an MPEG-4 capable Set-Top Box.
