Zee Action is going to shut down by Zee Network
Zee Entertainment Enterprises Private Limited and Sony Pictures Networks decided to shut down three Hindi channels from its portfolio and sell them to another broadcaster who wants to buy them. Zee and Sony have submitted their proposals to the Competition Commission of India (CCI). They have issued a 58-page long detailed order which informs that the two groups have agreed to sell and shut down Big Magic, which is a Hindi general entertainment channel, as well as Zee Action and Zee Classic which is a Hindi Movie channel.
Zee Action channel was launched by Zee Network in 2006 as a 24×7 Action Hindi Movies channel. Zee Action is available on all major Direct to Home DTH and Cable TV platforms such as Dish TV, d2h, Tata Play, Airtel Digital TV etc. As of now, the broadcaster has not informed us which broadcaster is interested to buy these channels. Once it’s a takeover by another broadcaster then it will not be available on any distribution platforms.
