Sony Vizha is SPNI’s latest addition to its extensive broadcasting network, specifically targeted at the Tamil-speaking audience. The word “Vizha” translates to “Festival” or “Celebration” in Tamil, hinting at a strong lineup of festive, family-oriented, and highly entertaining content.

Sony Vizha channel aims to compete directly with existing major players in the Tamil television industry, such as Sun TV, Star Vijay, and Zee Tamil.
Sony Vizha Launch Date & Availability
While the Test Signal for the Sony Vizha SD and HD channel are going to start soon on Intelsat 20 at 68.5 degree east. the official commercial broadcasting is expected to start very soon. Once launched, Sony Vizha and Sony Vizha HD will be available across all major Direct-to-Home (DTH) and Cable TV platforms in India like Tata Play, Airtel DTH, Dish TV and Sun Direct at an Ala carte price 19/- per month per channel.
