DD Sports 1.0 added on Tata Play

Finally, after a long wait, India’s Tour of New Zealand Cricket series is now live for Direct to Home DTH platform Tata Play as “DD Sports 1.0” has been added to “Tata Play” after signing an agreement between Amazon and Prasar Bharati to give DD Sports 1.0 feed to Private Direct to Home DTH services. DD Sports 1.0 is specially launched only for the DD Free Dish DTH platform because the Supreme Court of India implemented a rule that when any Sports event comes related to the Indian Cricket Team then every private DTH operator has to change the channel feed from DD Sports 1.0 to DD Sports 2.0 channel. After this decision, private Broadcaster sports channels will not face any problem related to TRP or revenue who have the same broadcasting rights.

But this time Amazon has only the rights of India’s Tour of New Zealand Cricket series to broadcast in Prime Video (Online Streaming App) and they don’t have any satellite channel, so they decided to sign an agreement with Prasar Bharati to give broadcasting rights for DD Sports channel and after that Prasar Bharati signed a deal with private Direct to Home DTH players to give DD Sports 1.0 to their platform.

To watch DD Sports 1.0 on Tata Play tune into channel number 452. This channel is Free for All subscribers. DD Sports 1.0 is also available on DD Free Dish, Dish TV, d2h, and Airtel Digital TV.
