DD Sports 1.0 added on Dish TV and d2h

Prasar Bharati and Direct to Home DTH operator “Dish TV” and “d2h” signed an agreement to launch the “DD Sports 1.0” channel on its Platform. This channel feed is launched only for DD Free Dish viewers because All Private DTH and Cable TV operators complain to Trai that if any Important Sports event comes as Free on DD Sports for all viewers then how will the customer subscribe to any paid sports channel? It’s better to remove this Feed during any sports event from the private DTH platforms.

After huge arguments, All Operators go to the Supreme Court to implement a rule for this problem and the Supreme Court verdict that during any sports events related to the Indian Cricket Team, All private DTH operators will change the feed of the DD Sports channel to another 2.0 feed. Prasar Bharati has to launch the DD Sports 1.0 Feed channel, especially for their customers of DD Free Dish DD Sports 2.0 for Private DTH and Cable TV operators.

For Major Sports Events such as India Tour of New Zealand Match, Prasar Bharati decided to give DD Sports 1.0 channel to Dish TV and d2h. To watch DD Sports 1.0 on Dish TV tune into channel number 640 and d2h on channel number 640. This channel is Free for All Subscribers.
