Punjabi Hits and Tabbar Hits Removed by DD Free Dish
The Punjabi music landscape on ‘DD Free Dish‘ has witnessed a major shift as two prominent channels, “Punjabi Hits‘ and ‘Tabbar Hits‘, have been removed from the platform. While both channels belong to the same broadcaster, the reasons behind their departure are quite different.
Viewers who enjoyed Punjabi music on these channels noticed their sudden absence following recent technical updates. The broadcaster has officially decided to shut down Punjabi Hits channel due to less demand for music channels in India. This means the channel has ceased its entire operations and transmission from C Band. It is not just leaving DD Free Dish but is being taken off-air across all other Cable TV and DTH platforms permanently.
Tabbar Hits have not been shut down. Instead, the broadcaster has chosen to withdraw the channel specifically from the DD Free Dish platform due to financial crises.
DD Free Dish for free-to-air (FTA) entertainment and Punjabi music channels are highly popular for their high-energy content, and the exit of these two channels simultaneously leaves a void in the regional music category.
