Popcorn Movies Removed by DD Free Dish
India’s only Lifetime Free Direct to Home Service “DD Free Dish” Removed the recently launched new channel “Popcorn Movies” from its platform. DD Free Dish was held 58 e-auction for mpeg2 to fill vacant slots and Popcorn movies won the slot in Bucket D to telecast Punjabi Content on it.
After the launch on DD Free Dish, Popcorn Movies were not telecasted with any Punjabi content such as Movies, Serials, Music etc. They got rights to telecast Sadhna TV (Devotional channel) programs on it. That’s why DD free Dish dropped this channel and replaced it with Test-317 vacant slot. If Prasar Bharati held a pro-rate basis e-auction for mpeg2 slots then some new channels may get a chance to take participate.
