DD Free Dish, the only lifetime free DTH service run by Public Service Broadcaster has removed a Kannada language FTA channel from the MPEG2 slot on 26 June 2024. Yes, DD Free Dish has removed the “Popular TV” channel due to non-payment of installments. Popular TV was available on DD Free Dish Mpeg-2 slot on Channel Number 20
Popular TV is a Kannada language Cartoon animated channel that won a slot in the 75th annual e-auction organized by DD Free Dish in March 2024, but this channel has been removed for violating the policy of DD Free Dish. Talking about the policy of DD Free Dish, if the channel participates in DD Free Dish, it will have to show 65% content as per the category of its channel but Popular TV did not do so and instead of showing content, they showed advertisements most of the time.
