Star India to shut down UTV Movies and UTV Action
Disney Star India Private Limited has announced that they are shutting down its Two existing Hindi Movie Channels named “UTV Movies” and 24×7 Hindi Dubbed Action Movies channel “UTV Action” with effect from 14th of March at 11:59 PM onwards. UTV Movies was launched in India in 2009 and UTV Action in January 2010. Both channels are available on all Direct to Home DTH and Cable TV platforms such as Dish TV, d2h, Tata Play, Airtel Digital TV, and Sun Direct. Now Star India has decided to shut down these channels and replace them with two new upcoming Hindi movie channels.
As per the news, Star India is going to launch “Star Gold Romance” (24×7 Dedicated Romantic Hindi Movies Channel), and “Star Gold Thrills” (Dedicated Suspense, Thriller Hindi Movies channel) in place of UTV Movies and UTV Action on the 15th of March 2023 at midnight onwards. Both Star Gold Romance and Star Gold Thrills will be available on All DTH and Cable TV Platforms in place of UTV Movies and UTV Action.
