Viacom18 to Convert 2 Hindi Movie channels as Paid from FTA from 1st Dec

Viacom18 Private Limited is ready to convert Free to Air FTA Hindi Movie channels “Colors Cineplex Bollywood” and “Colors Cineplex Superhits” into paid due to the new regulatory framework by Trai. Both channels were launched as free to air for lifetime free Direct to Home DTH service DD Free Dish but later they also signed an agreements with other DTH and Cable TV platforms to get TRPs. After this, they decided to earn some revenue from these channels and set up a price on an ala carte basis.

With effect from 30st of November 2022 (Midnight) onwards, Colors Cineplex Bollywood (24×7 Bollywood Hindi Movie Channel) and Colors Cineplex Superhits (Hindi Dubbed Movie Channel) will be available as an ala Carte price of Rs.0.10/- paise per month. This new price will apply for all private Direct to Home DTH and cable TV services. Only DD Free Dish and Dish TV subscribers will get both channels free of cost.

Colors Cineplex Bollywood is available on DD Free Dish, Dish TV, d2h (SES-8), Tata Play, and Airtel Digital TV. While on other side Colors Cineplex Superhits is available for DD Free Dish, Dish TV, d2h (SES-8), and Airtel Digital TV along with some popular cable TV platforms.
