BJP Party to Launch Namo TV Channels
Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is planning to Launch many Television Channels in Different languages named “Namo TV” in India for the 2024 Loksabha elections. In the 2019 Elections, NaMo TV was meant as a BJP campaign tool for the Lok Sabha election and added on All Direct to Home DTH and Cable TV platforms including DD Free Dish, Dish TV, d2h, Tata Play, Airtel Digital TV, Sun Direct, etc. had been criticized by the opposition as being a ‘propaganda machine. Despite various complaints to the Election Commission, however, no action was taken against the channel, the BJP, or Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who owns the NaMo App of which NaMo TV was said by the party to be a part.
The party has applied for a Satellite License from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) to get approval to launch “NaMo TV” channels in different languages such as Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Punjabi, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Oriya, etc. NaMo TV will be launched in every DTH and Cable TV platform before the 2024 Central Government Elections.
