DD Free Dish 62 e-Auction to be held on 17 August

Prasar Bharati invites applications for allotment of vacant MPEG-4 slots of the Lifetime Free DTH service “DD Free Dish” platform on a pro-rata basis for the period from 24th of August 2022 to 31st of March 2023 through the 62nd online auction process to be tentatively held on 17th of August 2022. This 62 e-auction will give chance to every broadcaster to launch their channel on the DD Free Dish platform with nominal installments of Mpeg4 slots.

The 62 e-auction will be conducted in accordance with policy guidelines for allotment of DD Free Dish slots, notified on 15.01.2019 and as amended from time to time which is available on the website http://prasarbharati.gov.in. Only satellite channels licensed by the Ministry of l&B would be allowed to participate in the e-auction. Only companies holding valid permission from the Ministry of information and Broadcasting can apply for participation in e-auction for allocation of the DD Free Dish slot.

In this 62 e-auction, every genre and languages channels are invited and the won channel will be available from 24th August 2022 till 31st March 2023 but DD Free Dish give the right to the broadcaster to withdraw their channel from the platform.
