Star India to Launch Vijay Takkar Channel
Disney Star India Private Limited is planning to launch another new channel in the Tamil language. Broadcaster decided to start a new channel named “Star Vijay Takkar” for Tamil Nadu and Tamilian Viewers. Already Disney Star India runs 4 Tamil channels for all customers named “Star Vijay” (Tamil Entertainment), “Star Vijay HD” (Tamil Entertainment), “Star Vijay Super” (Tamil Movies), and “Star Vijay Music” (Tamil Music).
Recently, Asianet Star Communications Pvt Ltd. got the “Star Vijay Takkar” license from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) in place of the existing channel “Star Vijay Music”. It means that Government renamed licence and Star Vijay Takkar will launch in place of the Star Vijay Music channel and the broadcaster doesn’t want to run this channel anymore.
Once the channel is ready to launch, broadcaster will start its Test Transmission from Asiasat 7 at 105.5 east. C Band satellite. This new channel will be launched as Paid and customers have to pay for it. Once launched, Star Vijay Takkar will be available on Tata Play, Dish TV ST-2, d2h, Airtel Digital TV, and Sun Direct.
